She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Ewers and Lynette Walker. She is survived by: her husband Owen; her children, Sheryl, Christopher and Pierce; and her grandchildren, Bryce and Asaijah-Tafari. She is also survived by 10 sisters and 5 brothers.
She worked 2 jobs for over 35 years in the nursing field from which she finally retired from one in 2017 but continues part-time with the other until Covid in 2020.
