He was predeceased by: his parents, William W. Cessna and Goetha Cessna (May); his siblings, H. Lee, William "Pud", Dale, Clarence "Sambo" Cessna, Joan King and Edna; and his pet Howsare.

He is survived by: his siblings, Lloyd "Tex" (Shirley), Becky (Bill Wolfe) and Lawrence "Rabbit" Cessna.
