He was predeceased by: his parents, Emelia Dashner (Bruckler) and John Dashner; his wife Anna; and his siblings, Augusta Leiner, Paula Leiner, Joseph Dashner, Tillie Mazur and Ella Ehm.

He is survived by: his children, William J. Dashner (Michelle), Edward J. Dashner, Arlene A. Sporcic (Robert) and Anna M. Lucas (Kenneth); and his grandchildren, Andrew Dashner, Adam Dashner, Robert Matthew Sporcic, Maria Ann Ridgley (Austin), Kenneth William Lucas (Erin) and Amelia Ann Lucas.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Vincentian DeMarillac in memory of William.
