He was predeceased by: his parents, WIlliam Cavanaugh and Mary Ethel Armitage Cavanaugh; and his siblings, Dorothy Cavanaugh Dixon, Jean Manderson and William Cavanaugh, Jr..

He is survived by: his great-nieces and great-nephews, Donna Lamoreaux (James), Patricia Pollock, Lisa Mleczynski (Jeff), Kenneth Gilley (Patti) and David Dixon (Jackie).

Memorial donations may be made to the Social Concerns Committee of St. Barbara Parish or to the Pittston Senior Citizens Center.
