He is survived by: his parents, Joseph Macareo and Angelina Macareo (Sanzalone); his wife Lena; his children, James Macareo of Texas, Paul Macareo of Florida, West Wyoming, Laura Palmer of Syracuse, Michele (Gerard Wrazien) and Hummelstown; his grandchildren, Andrew, Anthony, Alex, Austin, Gabriel, Noah, Michael, Alana, Stephen and Benjamin; and his sister Rose Turoni of Wyoming. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Christian Apostolic Church of Syracuse.
