He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wassil and Dorothy Plonski Wassil; and his sister Barbara A. Nelson. He is survived by: his fiancée Lois McHugh; his stepchildren, Dave McHugh and April Azaravich (Frank); his stepgrandsons, Samuel, Jacob and Daniel Azaravich; his sisters, Dorothy Zavada (Jerry) and Christine Bogdon (Joseph); his brother-in-law Stanley Kotulski; and his pets, Utley and Philly. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels of Greater Pittston, 59 S. Main Street, Pittston, PA 18640.
