It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence Duane Rome (Pittston, Pennsylvania), who passed away on September 21, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Robert Rome, Ronald Rome and Alice Rome. He is survived by: his wife Judy Rome; his daughter Ashley Rome (Sean Moore); his former wife Joan Duca; his sisters, Lorraine Kowalewski (John) and Lynda Gilroy (Ray); his pet Shadow; and also Lori Rome (Sam Ferrante). He is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and relatives Monday, September 28, 2020, from 9am to 10am in the former St. Anthony of Padua Church, now Parish of St. Barbara, 28 Memorial Street, Exeter, following CDC guidelines of wearing a face covering and maintaining social distance.
Memorial donations may be made to the SPCA of Luzerne County or any animal shelter of the donor's choice.
