It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leo Dowd (Pittston, Pennsylvania), who passed away on April 2, 2019, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lou Curley; his parents, John Dowd and Laura Gill Dowd; and his siblings, Joseph, William, John, Agnes Swift and Mary Gavigan.
He is survived by: his children, Cathy of Moosic, Michael (Joan), Pittston Twp and John Laflin (Patty); his grandchildren, Kevin (Julie), Brian, Jeffrey and Megan; and his siblings-in-law, Thomas Curley (Ann), Catherine O'Leary of Montgomery, N. Y., Mary Curley and West Pittston. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Corpus Christi Parish Social Concerns Committee, 605 Luzerne Ave., West Pittston or The Care and Concern Ministry of St. John the Evangelist Parish, William St. Pittston.
