He was predeceased by: his parents, Saverio Piemontese and Chiarina Piemontese (Ianuzzi); his wife Lena Capizzi Piemontese; and his brothers, John, Anthony, Matthew and Frank.

He is survived by: his children, Karen Swartz (Edward) and Sam Piemontese (Geri); his grandchildren, Bryan Kmitch, Hanover Twp, Maria Moorman, Daniel Piemontese, Broomfield and Heather Swartz; his great grandchildren, Kaylie, Bryanna Kmitch, Dean, Hudson and Callie Moorman; and his sisters, Josephine Benson (Paul) of Old Forge and Margaret Krappa of Old Forge.
