With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Joan McAndrew Wachs (Pittston, Pennsylvania), who passed away on May 9, 2020 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence McAndrew and Anna Fitzsimmons McAndrew; her husband William; and her siblings, Martin, Edward, Paul, Joseph and Catherine McAndrew.
She is survived by: her children, David G. Wachs (Karen) of Newport, NC, Mark W. Wachs of Richmond, TX, Timothy J. Wachs of Pittston and Patricia A. Karboski (Jeff) of Pittston; and her grandson Michael Wachs of Raleigh, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date.Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
