He was predeceased by: his parent Daniel Donovan; his daughter Carole Brannan; his brothers, John Donovan, Daniel Donovan and Joseph Donovan; and his nephew Thomas Donovan.
He is survived by: his parent Catherine Dolan Donovan; his wife Mary Doris Delaney Donovan; his children, Robert Donovan of Pittston, Michael Donovan, Granger, Susan Lombardo (Michael), Jane Neal (Griffith), Alameda and Eileen Donovan of Washington, D. C.; his son-in-law Joseph Brannan of Morrisville, N. C.; his grandchildren, Catherine, Kristen Lombardo, Conor, Liam Neal, Michael and Ryan Brannan; and his brother Paul Donovan (Veronica).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Care and Concern Ministries of St. John the Evangelist.
