With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Austin O. Scherer Jr. of Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, born in Jersey City, New Jersey, who passed away on January 2, 2024 at the age of 83. He was predeceased by : his parents, Dorothy Scherer (Ropke) and Austin O. Scherer. He is survived by : his wife Helen (Elsasser); his daughters, Helen Snay (Stephen), Pat Scherer and Kathy Englert (Shawn); his grandchildren, Jax Snay, Katryna Englert, Nick Snay and Harrison Englert; and his siblings, Judy Smolenski and Bob Scherer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
