The passing of John D. Ashton of Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on July 23, 2025 at the age of 91. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius C. Ashton and Martha Ashton (Blair); his wife Rita E. Ashton (Donovan); his grandchild Casey; and his siblings, Bud Ashton, Frank Ashton, Emma Laskey, Martha Eckert and Elizabeth Longstreet.
He is survived by: his children, John J. Ashton (Lorraine) of Plymouth Meeting, Joan Calhoun of Plymouth Meeting, Thomas Ashton (Kim) of Spring City, Rita Hunter (David) of Ft. Collins and Brenda Wakefield (Clinton) of West Conshohocken; his grandchildren, Angela, TJ, Tony, Carolyn, Joseph, Clinton, Jack, Riley and Erin; and his great grandchildren, RJ, Sophia, Linus, Neo, Caspian and Sylas.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the St. Paul RC Church (2007 New Hope St, Norristown, PA 19401). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Matthew's Cemetery.
