With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Howard D. Nelson (Port Allegany, Pennsylvania), born in Hazel Hurst, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 8, 2022 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Nelson and Esther Hudson Nelson; his wife Elsie M. Strom (Jean Tracy); and his siblings, Arthur, George, John, Walter, Lloyd, Floyd Nelson and Helen Dusch.

He is survived by : his sons, Thomas A. Nelson (Lisa) of Lubbock, TX, Roger D. Nelson (Pam) of Smethport, Bruce E. Nelson (Sue) of Smethport and Scott R. Nelson (Sheryl) of Allegany, NY. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
