Betty Hackett Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Hackett of Port Trevorton, Pennsylvania, born in Springfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 25, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Betty leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Almon Carpenter and Miriam Carpenter (Whyte); her husband John "Jack" Hackett; her brothers, Robert Carpenter and Donald Carpenter (Madeleine); and her son-in-law Thomas Longtin.
She is survived by: her son John "Golden Boy" Hackett (Darla) of Broken Arrow, OK; and her brother Theodore Carpenter of Cape Coral, FL. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Agawam Curran Jones Funeral Home (745 Cooper St, Agawam, MA 01001).
