He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Loretta Schweitzer (Wampler); his parents, Mervin Schweitzer and Catherine Schweitzer (Keinard); his son Harold Schweitzer Jr.; his grandchildren, Matthew Schweitzer (Rebecca), Lauren Bronstein (Mark), Elizabeth Hoffecker (Jason), Jonathan Schweitzer (Amanda), Melissa Raymond (Jonathan), Samantha Martin (Brandon) and Adam Schweitzer (Ashley); and his great grandchildren, Owen, Paetyn, Griffin, Mackenzie, Christopher, Callan, Hadley, Zachary, Lillian, Aurora, Millie, Piper, Graham, Evelyn and Arthur.
