He was predeceased by: his wife Janet Sue Swavely (Howe); his parents, Robert L. Swavely and Anna Swavely (Fox); and his siblings, Earl Swavely, Robert Swavely, Jr., Richard Swavely and Ruth Fisher.
He is survived by: his children, Darrin M. Swavely, Sr. (Jane Marie) and Crystal A. (Micheal J. Moore); his brother David Swavely; his grandchildren, Darrin, Jr., Joseph, David, Preston, Robert and Katie; and his great grandchild Charlotte.
