He was predeceased by: his wife Donnell Jo DeBoer (O'Dell); and his parents, William R. DeBoer and Dolores E. DeBoer (Wescoe). He is survived by: his children, Meghan Whitehurst (Tiyale Sr.) and John DeBoer; his grandchildren, Olivia DeBoer, Jazelle Whitehurst, Tiyale Whitehurst Jr., Noah Whitehurst, Elizabeth Whitehurst, Jackson Whitehurst and Brayden DeBoer; his siblings, William DeBoer, David DeBoer and Deborah Gasper (Ray); his godsons, Sean Soley and Robert Soley; and his close friend Bailey. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
