He was predeceased by: his wife Geraldine A. Goldschmidt (Connolly); his parents, George J. Goldschmidt and Ida M. Goldschmidt (Hoelzle); and his children, John A. Goldschmidt (Susan Goldschmidt) of Lyman, SC, Marianne Leidelmeyer (Marinus Leidelmeyer) of Limerick, Thomas G. Goldschmidt (Kelly Goldschmidt) of Mohnton and David J. Goldschmidt.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, J. D., Matthew (United State Navy), Brooke, Eric, Julia, Zachary, Emily, Ryan and Patrick; and his great grandchild Mia.
