He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Lee Batdorf and Myrle Batdorf (Hess); and his sister Marci Lynn. He is survived by: his son Lee Howard Batdorf Jr.; and his sisters, Cindy Dahms (late Donald Dahms), Jean Louise Bridges (Joseph), Christine Marie Heilner (Allen G. R. Heilner) and Lori Kay Mannion (Michael J.).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society (1818 Market St, Philadelphia, PA 19103) in Lee's name.
