With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Matichak of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, who passed away on December 27, 2021 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Matichak to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Eliza (Kennedy) and Daniel MacDonald of Fairmont; her husband Stephen Matichak of Ranshaw, PA; her daughter Mary Deborah Harper (Brad); her siblings, Danny, Eddie, Colin Joseph, George, Betty Curry and Winnie MacDonald; and her half-siblings, Jack, Colin McDonald, Mamie McDonald, Kate Milbury and Annie Boyd.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Ann, Steven D. (Alina Szypula), Catherine Elizabeth (Jeff Funston) and Ursula Margaret (Thomas Gard); her grandchildren, Preston, Cameron Harper, Dana, John, Paula Abigail, Peter James, Franklin Matichak, S. Alden Funston, Brendan, Oliver, Jelena and Finlay Gard; her great grandchildren, Marvin Matichak, Stephen Ko and William Ryu Matichak; and her close friend Deanna Dietz. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
