He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lou Comerford (Schwager); his parents, James Comerford and Evelyn Comerford (Ried); and his sons, Nicky Comerford and Jamie Comerford.

He is survived by: his daughters, Chris Derrick (David), Patty Ott (Dewaine) and Tracy Shellenberger (Troy); and his siblings, Paul Comerford (Hazel) and Iris Lofthouse (Ronnie).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 in Nicholas' name.
