He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia "Ginny" Egolf Ludwick. He is survived by: his brother Jack III; his grandchildren, Susan Tang, Julie Perona, Jessica Gartman, Todd Nitsche, Andrew Ludwick, John Ludwick and Leanne Ludwick; and his great grandchildren, Kelsey Tang, Leah Tang and Luna Perona. He is also survived by his three children.
