She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence B. Towey and Mary Roberts Towey; and her husband James Lawrence Messina. She is survived by: her children, James of Springfield, Robert (Alison) of Clarks Summit and Christine Messina McDaniel (Jeffrey) of Charlottesville; her grandchildren, Christin Williams (Barry), Meredith Denne (Greg), Taylor Messina, Jeremiah Fordham, Avery Fordham, Jonathan McDaniel (Kristen) and Matthew McDaniel (Kelly); and her great grandchildren, Delaney, JJ Williams, Alison, Maria, Nathan Denne, Braden, Addaly and Cooper Reed McDaniel. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
