Though Gertrude may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gertrude touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward T. Chescavage and Genevieve Kondzialko Chescavage (Jennie Conshue); and her husband Francis William "Sonny" Gahres. She is survived by: her children, Ann Marie Pukas (late Andrew) of Minersville, Dolores Gahres of Pottsville and John F Gahres (Michelle Barton) of Wernersville; and her grandchildren, Randall Gahres, Carol Pukas, Adam Pukas, Kathryn Gahres and Jessica Werner (Paul). She is also survived by 5 Great Grandchildren.
