He was predeceased by: his parents, Roberta Smythe (Whiteman) and Jack Smythe; and his daughter Nicole. He is survived by: his sons, A. J. Royal (Jessica Beach) and David Royal (Julianne Lipzok); his siblings, Robin Parker and Terry (Helene Royal); his grandsons, Jonah Tobash and Jaxson Royal; his former wife Andrea McClintock; and his close friend Melissa Radziewicz.
