He is survived by : his wife Patricia Shuler Burns; his children, James F. Burns IV and Susan Gray; his stepsons, Bruce Freizebass and Jerrett Russellbass; his grandchildren, James F. Burns, Dominic, Alie, Abigail, Aubrey and Sebastian Gray; his stepgrandchildren, Trevor, Gianna and Harper Leigh Bass; and his siblings, Kathleen Burns and Roger Burns.
