With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Irene Wassel of Pottsville, Pennsylvania, born in Delano, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 27, 2020 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John A. Wassel, Sr.; her parents, George Maurer and Irene Maurer; her daughter Cindy Davis; and her sisters, Margie Lincovich and Ruth Nester.
She is survived by: her children, Elaine J. Goho (Richard) of Wildcat Mountain, Tamaqua, John "Jack" Wassel (Kelly Knepper) of Tamaqua and Corey Wassel (Cristal) of South Tamaqua; her son-in-law Jim Davis; and her grandchildren, Shawn, Karen, Lisa, Kayla, Hunter, Cheyann, Jim and Barry. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
