It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Smigo of Pottsville, Pennsylvania, born in Minersville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 23, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Smigo and Eva Hoptak Smigo. He is survived by: his sisters, Julie Cairns and Mary Shuman; his wife Ruth Frankenstein Smigo; his children, Cherylyn Pugh, Brenda Ries, Cynthia Amaton, Phil Smigo, Russ Smigo, Lenore Pal and Renee Stein; and his grandchildren, Larry, Dustin, Jennifer, Christy, Carrie, Rick and Brianna. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
