He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Bentz and Florence M. Hahner Bentz; and his siblings, Joanne Hepler, John Bentz and Lois Desch.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Bentz; his children, Robert Bentz, Richard Bentz (Santina) and Erica Polley; his grandchildren, Zachary Bentz, Gabriella Bentz, Shea Polley, Austin Bentz, Richard Bentz, Hunter Bentz and Benjamin Polley; and his daughter-in-law Barbara Hauptly Bentz. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
