He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Schmitt Sr. and Elizabeth Schmitt (Rosenberger); and his wife Veronica Schmitt (Barone). He is survived by: his children, Geraldine "Geri" Schmitt Beane (David R. Beane), Kathleen "Kathy" Siko (Walter D. Siko) and Shawn Schmitt (Karen Tropp); his grandchildren, Alex Beane of Wayne, N. J., Andrew of Reading, Victoria Beane of Reading and Veronica Siko; and his siblings, Pat Trabosh of Pottsville, Dorothy Brown of Pottsville, Ann Marie "Dolly" Reichert and John Schmitt. He is also survived by nieces & nephews.
