With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Minta C. Dunkel of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 14, 2025 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Minta C. Dunkel to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Erving Cessna and Elma Mae Bennett; and her siblings, Howard Lloyd Cessna, James C. Cessna, Lewis C. Cessna and Mona Cessna Kennedy.
She is survived by: her husband Malcolm B. Dunkel, Jr.; her grandchildren, Dina (Ben Crana), Mary (Justin Travis), Chelsey Dunkel of New York City, NY, David (Alicia Dunkel), Amy (Reggie Weaver), Amanda (Travis Stom), Max (Sami Fairman), Emily (Eli McDivitt), Katelyn (Bob Wingert), Cooper Fairman of Punxsutawney, PA and Caroline Dunkel (Spencer Levy); and her sister-in-law Elizabeth Dunkel Miller of Woodstock, NY.. She is also survived by her four children and their spouses.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Minta, to the First English Lutheran Church of Punxsutawney, or the Punxsutawney Weather Discovery Center.
