He was predeceased by: his parents, Blanche Hertzler (Vogt) and Richard Hertzler; and his wife Barbara. He is survived by: his children, John, Jr., Michael and Lisa; his grandchildren, Amanda MacIntire (Andrew), Caroline Benyo (Jacob), Alicia Ehrhart (Shane) and Jack Hertzler (Meghan); his great grandchildren, Freya, Annaleigh, Hazel, Vaeda, Wesley, Austin and Baby Ehrhart; his brother P. David Hertzler; his son Cole; and his friends, Gail Booth and Lucy Meissner.
