It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jon Henry Cowart (Quarryville, Pennsylvania), born in Ridgway, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 30, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry M. Reed and Kathryn Elizabeth Reed; his wife Katherine Violet Cowart; and his children, Jerome and Deborah Forren.

He is survived by : his children, Jon Cowart Jr., David Cowart, Ann Cowart, Elizabeth Bowman, Rebekah Cowart-Taylor, Naomi Tomlinson, Adam Cowart, Peter Cowart, Kathleen Maynard, Jesse Cowart, Laura Cowart and Virginia Cowart. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
