Janet L. Simmons Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet L. Simmons (Queen, Pennsylvania), born in Millersville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 10, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Harry M. Baker and Emma Baker (Leaman); her husband Jay L. Simmons; and her siblings, Harry L. Baker, Sara A. Groff and John L. Baker.
She is survived by : her children, Kathleen Smith (Kenneth) of York, Patricia Johns (Larry) of York, J. Kevin Simmons (late Carol) and Michael Simmons (Deborah) of Lynchburg, VA; her grandchildren, Laura Evans (David), Dustin Johns (Amanda) of Laurel, MD, Dana Johns (Kayla), Salt, Jennifer Simmons, Gabriel Simmons of Charlottesville, VA, Taryn of Lynchburg, VA. and Molly Simmons of Lynchburg, VA.; and her great grandchildren, Lily of York, Violet of York, Iris Evans of York, Katherine of Laurel, MD, Ava Johns of Laurel, MD, Sebastian and Rooney Johns. She is also survived by brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Due to the current COVID pandemic the immediate family will have a graveside service at Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster, and a celebration of Janet's life at a later date.
