She was predeceased by: her parents, L. Donald and Mary F. Smith (Coldsmith); her husband Jerry W. Shives, Jr.; and her siblings, Helen Benchoff and Harold F. Smith.
She is survived by: her daughter Patricia A. Ross of Naples, FL; her grandchild Haylee B. Ross of Winston-Salem, NC; and her niece Bunny L. Manahan of Waynesboro.
