He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Kohut and Estelle J. Kohut (Zielomski). He is survived by: his wife Barbara A. Kohut (Maupin); his children, Eric T. Kohut (Vanja) of Allentown, PA and Jessica L. Kohut-Scheirer (Jeffrey Scheirer) of San Antonio, TX; and his grandson Luka Kohut.
