He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles LeRoy Diefenderfer, Sr. and Helen L. Diefenderfer (Bailey); and his siblings, Robert, Kenneth Diefenderfer, Mary Jane Cerniglia and Betty Satter.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Grace Diefenderfer (Klemmer); his children, Linda G. (Donald J. Bartashus) of Muhlenberg Township and Charles L. Diefenderfer, III (Mary E. Diefenderfer) of Laureldale; and his siblings, Edward D. Diefenderfer of Florida and Susan Shimp of Denver. He is also survived by three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
