He was predeceased by: his wife Melva Seidel; his parents, Clarence Seidel and Helen Seidel (Heffner); and his sister Mary Rothermel. He is survived by: his children, Mark Seidel (Carla), Deborah Doogan (Edward), Timothy Seidel (Kathy), Jamie Carrier (Henri) and Tamara Seidel; and his sisters, Shirley Shuman, Peggy LaPearl and June Huyett (Richard). He is also survived by four grandchildren.
