He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Jane Dowd (Ruch); and his parents, Donald Dowd and Kathryn A. Dowd (Patten). He is survived by: his children, David R. Dowd (Cheryl A. Dowd) of Riverview Park, Eileen E. Kistler (Kenneth H. Kistler) of Bern Township and Carolyn K. Guenst (David Guenst) of Souderton. He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
