She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Lee Schera; her parents, Joshua Unger and Amelia Unger (Wenrich); and her siblings, Robert Unger, Ray Stoudt and Gladys Huggins.

She is survived by: her children, Jannell L. Schera, Lower Alsace and Jason L. Schera (Christine); and her grandsons, Jakob A. Ream and Gavin L. Ream.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Autism Society of Berks County, PO Box 6683, Wyomissing, PA 19610.
