He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Mitchell (Ganster) and Joseph Sylvester Mitchell. He is survived by: his children, Joseph P. Mitchell of Willow Street, PA. and Mary Jane (James Rochester) of Lancaster; his sister Mary Sheetz of Shillington; his brother-in-law Gerald McDevitt of Reading, PA; and his grandchildren, Kaitlan, Chelsea, Haley, Jameson, Emily, Christina, Kimberly and Sarah.
