She was predeceased by: her husband Lionel B. Carter; her parents, Benjamin F. Sr. Johnson and Nellie Johnson (Giles); and her brothers, Horace Johnson and Quillis Johnson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Veronica (late Carl Moreno) and Stephanie L. Black-Pochuski (William Pochuski); her grandchildren, Isaac H. Burns, Jr., Breanna A. Duson and Cassandra Carter; and her siblings, Mary Tyson (late Kenneth), Martha Hall, Dorothy Berry (late Robert), Benjamin F. Johnson Jr. (Jackie), Charles Johnson and Wayne Johnson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and close family friends.
