He was predeceased by: his parents, Luella Nickel and Edwin Nickel. He is survived by: his wife Carol H. Nickel; his daughter Laura Berger (Nickel); his son-in-law Bill Berger of Littleton, Colorado; his daughter Leslie Robertson (Nickel); his son-in-law Gerry Robertson of Friendship, Maryland; and his grandchildren, Lauren, Henry, Jack, Charlie Berger, Jenna and Collen Robertson.
