He was predeceased by : his parents, Txhiaj Ntxawg and Xia Vang Moua; and his sisters, Mee Moua and Mai Moua. He is survived by : his spouse Pang Lo Moua; his children, Ying Moua Yang, Yi Moua, Nou Moua Koch, Thomas Moua and Sandy Moua; and his siblings, Thao Moua, Lee Moua and Youa Moua. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.
