We are sad to announce that on August 3, 2020, at the age of 93, Betty Merritt (Ridgway, Pennsylvania), born in Brockway, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, William Harrison Swyers and Elizabeth Swyers (Yaun); her former life partner Arthur Addison Merritt; her husband Bakery; and her siblings, William Swyers, Henry Harrison Swyers (Florence), Mary McCausland (James), Ruth Heatherdale (Thomas), Blanche Gardner (Walter), Mildred Swyers and Dorothy Swyers.
She is survived by : her sons, Larry Arthur Merritt (Gloria) of Rozet, Wyoming, James Addison Merritt (Jan) of Ridgway, PA and Kenneth William Merritt (Christine) of Ridgway, PA; her granddaughter Tammy Kriegel (David); her great grandchildren, Jenna Stenta (Aaron), Ethan Rowles and McKenna Rowles; her grandson Larry Wingate (Jodi); her great grandchild Chelsea; her grandson Gary Wingate; her great grandchildren, Kristion and Kaitlin; her grandchildren, David Merritt, Michael Merritt, Jeremy Merritt and Katie Simbeck; her great grandchildren, Isabella Mae Simbeck and Emma Rose Simbeck; her grandchildren, Odyssey Marshall (Aaron) and Jessica Herzing (Tyree Jackson); and her great grandchildren, Logan and Sylas. She is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, and in respect for her wishes, there will be no public viewing and no formal funeral services.
