She was predeceased by : her parents, Leonard Hosmer and Elizabeth Monroe Hosmer; her husband Bud Barrett; her granddaughter Quinn Davis; and her siblings, Nancy Milliron, Shirley VanEpps, Dean "Hoby" Hosmer and Max Hosmer.

She is survived by : her children, Steve Barrett (Renee) of Duke Center, John Barrett (Judy) of Duke Center and Joan Breese (Dan) of Duke Center; her sister Betty Evingham of Shinglehouse; her grandchildren, Lukas Breese (Jamie) of Bradford, Kurtis Breese (Brheana) of Bradford, Devon Wentworth of Duke Center, Erin Jackson (Steve) of Duke Center, Braden Barrett (Katie Jo) of Duke Center, Katie Carlson (Scott) of Crozet, Keith Barrett (Bethany) of Clinton and Star Finch (Mike) of Charlotte, N. C.; and her niece Patty Rhinehart. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
