He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl E. Hiester and Anna I. Hiester (Heffner); his son Scott R. Hiester; his brother Harold Hiester; and his daughter-in-law Jody.
He is survived by: his wife Susan R. Hiester (Spangler); his son Steven R. Hiester; his close friend Melani; and his sister Shirley (Howard Lengel). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
