He was predeceased by: his parents, Gabriel Lamping and Rose Lamping (Stacherl); his sons, Joseph Jr. and Edward Lamping (Susan); and his siblings, Albert, William, Helen Buchman, Robert, Mildred Lieberth and Frank.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rosemary Jageman (Tom), Barbara Garrett Boger (Simón), Lois Nicholson (Jim) and Kathy Dolak (Mark); and his brother-in-law Frank Buchman. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
