She is survived by: her son John H.; her daughter-in-law Tanya MacDonald of Hudson, Fla.; and her grandchildren, Jessica MacDonald of Philadelphia and Jason MacDonald Bennett of San Francisco, Calif..
Clara's wishes were that in lieu of flowers, for everyone to please plant a tree in her memory.
